ReplyDeleteThe past 3 years, no single inroad in the Muslim majority states. No single well, just sharing of rice others contributed. No money coloring this time, no sabotage from party chairman, Kanuri pushback against Fulani agenda , no scarcity of funds in states so which way?
No one who fought for a 2nd term in a small state with residents leaving everyday to Lagos can convince any sensible person that he will fix Nigeria in 4 years and leave the place. Even after his government, Anambra governors are still working with no economic breakthrough in sight. No confusion amongst governors, no stable party due to political laziness of candidates, no apathy from the villa. The terrain is different.
If at the bottom of the ticket, as he has settled for now with going into ADC late and having no single leadership slot, what will he tell Christians and southerners? What will yes Daddy tell the children - that Atiku is young at heart? That Obi will win with no core North presence? That those who delivered 3 LGAs in core North as governor will deliver as displaced ex governors? That Atiku who has been running since 1992 will serve 1 term and leave the place for him? Which president will allow a VP outshine him? Which national Assembly will cooperate with the executive without "well done" and "thanks for coming?". His cooler will be thicker than the one GEJ was delivered from. Which North will give up their slot for the Yar Adua plot to play out when they can gain from such a permutation on a sure ticket? And in that same ADC, southerners like Amaechi will let their industrialist funds waste on a man who can't spend on anyone else but wants to take all in a party they finance?
God sparing all lives and all things being equal, coronation is what is loading in 2027. Opposition needs to learn work.
