Abia State Governor Alex Otti has signed the Senior Citizens Law to provide residents aged 60 and above with monthly stipends, free medical care, and ongoing social‑support services....
The law establishes eligibility and delivery frameworks but leaves out key implementation details like enrollment procedures, funding sources, and payment mechanisms—to forthcoming regulations and budget allocations...
If implemented well, this new law will definitely reduce elderly poverty which is a big concern in Nigeria.

This man keeps setting this pace. Other governors will be like, ''this man again? why is he exposing our incompetence?''

ReplyDeleteThe man is an answered prayer
God Bless You sir
ReplyDeleteIt is refreshing to see someone serious about the responsibility that they have been given.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see elderly poverty, any action allowing older adults to live with dignity is welcomed. I hope that help with getting eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures is also included. So many cannot see well because they cannot afford eyeglasses, not because the have any eye disease.
So needing glasses to read and see no be disease? Eh?@9.04
DeleteThis is lovely. I pray it is approved and implemented.
ReplyDeleteWell done sir ππΏπ
ReplyDeleteWelldone sir,more GRACE.

Delete17:29 because you guys like to be happy with new things
DeleteThat’s why they keep coming up with new projects even though we have three generations that have gone to schools with toilets that don’t flush
God bless this man, I hope there will be continuity even after leaving office. The money should be given directly to the elderly, not as una Maina take swallow pension meant for pensioners yrs back
