Nollywood actor Ray Emodi has announced that he is stepping away from acting, and revealed that years of traumatic filming experiences and intense family pressure pushed him to the decision.
In a candid Instagram video, Ray said some of the conditions he worked under were not just stressful but dangerous. He recalled filming in a town where gunshots rang out nearby, yet production continued as if nothing was wrong.
“I have stopped acting in films. I quit. There was a time I never thought I would say that sentence, but I won’t lie,”
Ray explained that beyond the unsafe shoots, he also had to consider his mental health and the expectations of his family, who had long urged him to rethink his career path.
He says he is now shifting his focus fully to music, a passion he has always nurtured but never pursued .......
