Actor and film maker Funke Akindele fired back at Colleague and co filmmaker Kunle Afolayan with the sharp line, “Don’t let jealousy burn you,” after he questioned the hype surrounding today’s cinema blockbusters.
He had earlier suggested that some films boast “big numbers that don’t reflect real returns” and said t that he won’t engage in “energy‑draining publicity stunts”.
His remarks were widely read as a veiled swipe at Funke’s billion‑naira hits and she responded swiftly which is not her style.
Those who Funke very well would attest to the fact that she ignores swipes and shades and only acknowledges positive vibes...
So I am going with the school of thought that it is a PR stunt to trend something both of them are about to do....
These celebrities will make us think they are fighting but they are not...If you know, you know!

ReplyDeleteI watched the interview, he didn’t say it in a bad way, he said it is draining and time consuming and he can’t do it. He mentioned and gave kudos to people like Funke, Toyin and the rest that do the dancing promotion.
