Hmmmmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
WRONG OR NOT?
I recently got some change of which my siblings are aware of .....so one of them asked the other to finance a car.
The one that was asked referred that one to me that I recently received money, that I should be able to give .The sibling that was asked has money but refused to give .
This sibling of mine is ready to fight you when owing and lives above their income but I on the other hand live within or below my means .
I told this sibling to buy an affordable car but wouldn't budge. I on the other hand drives a very small modest car I can afford.
The sibling wants to keep financing a G-wagon they can't afford. Am I wrong in refusing to pay for it ?

You are not wrong at all....This sounds like sibling entitlement mentality......Dont even let them know when you make any money again.just shut them out!..Imagine wanting to buy a Gwagon with someone elses money!!!
Note that if you want to give, thats on you but refusing to give for this purpose is OK as well....
you did nothing wrong, you should keep your money story far from them.
ReplyDeleteNo be only G-wagon, buy PJ for them
ReplyDeleteWhat manner of entitlement is this biko??
If you want to drive a luxury car then you should have a luxury income for that. How can you want a champagne lifestyle on a ginger ale budget. Ridamndiculous
ReplyDeleteFolks need to learn the power of living below your budget. It gives you leverage and a cushion against life’s sudden and unforeseen demands. Anything can happen to you tomorrow, it doesn’t seem like these siblings would be who you can depend on. Do not wipe out your financial cushion when you live an average life. A car is something that depreciates in value everyday that you drive it, that asset is not one you go out of your way to help anyone with. If the vehicle is out of reach for the person to afford on their own then that means they cannot afford it.
Wendy Osefo for all her accomplishments is now facing jail time for not being content and living within her means, the husband faces the same. The chokehold of materialism got them and now they remain humiliated and wrecked. Contentment is an underrated value.
You're not not wrong abeg. Saying no doesn't make you stingy, wickiid or selfish, it makes you wise
ReplyDeleteHow can you finance such when you are not using such? Don't give and just like Stella mentioned, you don't reveal 100% cash inflow you have to them cos of their entitlement mentality.
ReplyDeleteSo when he buys this G-Wagon, how does he plan to maintain it?
ReplyDeleteWho is he trying to Impress? Why does he need to impress anyway???
It is well ooo
Don't feel bad for not buying it for them, and stop telling them about your finances before they will kidnap you.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t even temper the kidnappers
DeleteJust negodu the entitlement mentality 😩. Imagine wanting to buy a car, g-wagin for that matter on someone else. Poster, you better keep your finances away from them. Don't tell them anything.
ReplyDeleteThey should cut their coat according to their size
ReplyDeleteYou're not wrong.
ReplyDeleteLet everyone live within their means. Life is not difficult.
Let that sibling live within their limit. You're not wrong at all
ReplyDeleteYou are not wrong. People should learn how to live within their means.
