The Judge held that "the complainant failed to follow the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015" and that the complaint "suffered from serious procedural defects and amounted to an abuse of court process" noting the improper joinder of several offences in one complaint and that all parties are residents of Lagos State, which affected the court’s authority to hear the matter.
