Footballer Lionel Messi Says He Regrets Not Learning To Speak English ..

Football star Lionel Messi (38 years old) told a Mexican podcast Miro de Atras. that one of his biggest regrets is not taking his education seriously when he was younger, particularly not learning English.



He said that on several occasions in his career he found himself around powerful, influential people but could not hold a proper conversation, and that feeling left him “ignorant.”

“I regret many things,” Messi admitted. “One of them is not learning English as a boy. I had the time to study it and didn’t. I deeply regret it.”
Messi added that he constantly reminds his children about the importance of education
“When you’re young, you don’t realise it. That’s why I tell my kids to study, be prepared, and take advantage of the opportunities they have.”
