Khelisyah booked the procedure through the UK company Get Slim run by Tracey Ozdemir and paid about £3,300 for a package that included the operation and accommodation but she became critically ill after the first operation, underwent a second operation, suffered a cardiac arrest and died on February 9, 2019...
A coroner recorded the cause of death as gastrointestinal ischaemia with inadequate monitoring and care after the second operation..
Her parents sued Ms Ozdemir, arguing that the company had arranged the whole package including medical treatment and aftercare but Ms Ozdemir denied responsibility..
Mrs Justice Obi ruled that the organiser owed a duty to ensure proper performance of the surgery and aftercare and awarded the full damages to the family, offering condolences while noting that nothing can undo the loss but hoped the ruling would bring some comfort.

The money won't bring back their daughter 😞.
ReplyDeleteExactly, but it's well with them though
DeleteTo loose a child no be beans 🤔
Money cant bring her back, but the parents want the money as compensation that's why they sued and asked to be compensated .
DeleteTrue but it will help them retire when they should, she left a young child behind this will go a long way as a trust fund for the child. Otherwise, taking care of a young child at their old age won't be easy
DeleteTrue, but would serve as deterrent to other useless hospitals who do this!
DeleteSad. May her soul rest in peace 🙏
ReplyDeleteThis is So So Sad
ReplyDeleteMay God Rest Her Soul
Hello iya Boys
May her soul continue to rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteResr in peace. it's just I dunno why they sued the Tracey Ozdemir who is the 'introducer' as stated in UK blogs and not the actual hospital, but then again maybe the hospital is not running post op duties. Well the Tracey would never just be a connection without doing a total investigation
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace ,🙏
ReplyDeleteChai! How do you spend such money please?
ReplyDeleteEhya so sad.
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace.
The cheapest always becomes the most expensive in the end. So many run to turkey for cheap surgeries and the stories are a plenty of the butchering they receive there. Gastric bypass is a major and complex surgery that you do at home, it’s not something you choose for medical tourism. If you must do medical tourism then do it in a country that speaks your language, that way if complications occur you are able to communicate clearly with every and anyone. It’s risky to do surgery in a country where you do not speak the language and the majority of the people don’t speak yours.
