Funke and I have been friends for the longest, but there were times we fell out, fault on both sides. I once came online to drag Funke because of Toyin's movie. That was a wrong move on my part, I should have handled it better. Funke and | later made up, and we addressed all our issues and put them behind us. I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace which they both later did, reason you saw them a few months ago interacting with one another, but there was a condition, no one was to shade online if any issue arose, they both promised to address it off camera, but unfortunately, Dec came, Toyin made some complaints about her movie in cinemas claiming some people or person was trying to sabotage her, some fans pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, that sparked up a fresh beef.
About The Return of Arinzo, Toyin was suppose to be in it but she said she was exhausted, and she also had to travel, so she pulled out last minute, i was upset bcos it cost me alot, to rewrite the story, but the show must go on, we had a deadline to film if I wanted The Return of Arinzo to make 3rd of April ....... she apologized, we made up, and the rest is history." Honestly, all this saddened me because the sky is big enough for all. I have tried my best, but at this point, I can't beg anyone anymore. I honestly don't want to get involved anymore. Please, you all should respect that... when both parties are ready, they will make peace........ I love them both regardless.”

The way Toyin was talking during that her movie promotion was really manipulative. Instead of focusing on promoting her movie, she was granting interviews complaining that some people were telling cinema goers not to see her movie. Her approach depicts unhealthy competition!

DeleteMany of these actresses are mean and wicked. If not that Funke too is a strong woman, they are all ready to drop her dead or chase her out of the industry.

This same Funke opened the way for many of them with her big movies. She likes to feature many women, just to support them, but once they are known, she is the first to be fought by them. In the days of Yoruba movies, she liked to feature Toyin, Iyabo, Sikiratu Sindodo, Eniola Badmus, and many of them.
Ignorance is another factor. Some of them think the cinemas are actually siding Funke, or Funke is the one sabotaging them at the Cinema. What they don't know is that this is pure business for these people. Once there are many people demanding for a movie, the cinema has no choice but to show it and stop the one with poor showing.
They will complain about Funke dancing, yet they want their movies to have the reach that Funke's movie has. They must stay one place. In our language, there is an adage that says 'publicity is the medicine of business'. This is a secret that Funke knew early and it's working for her. When Bisola , Wumi, Kiekie and Ogunyemi did Gingerr and they gavce heavy publicity, they had a good outing. When Toyin too did a good movies and heavy publicity, she had over a billion. This means, Funke is just smarter than them, it is not because she is hampering the progress of anybody.
For about two consecutive years, Funke left AMVCA for them.
There was a year that despite being the highest grossing movie, out of 9 AMVCA nominations, they connived and she did not win any. That was not the issue, but the way Toyin was dancing around to celebrate Funke's failure to win at AMVCA and was jubilating everywhere on social media with Kehinde Bankole who won the best actress that year, it was too glaring that she was doing that because of Funke. What do you want to gain if Funke fails in life. They have forgotten that her name is her brand, once you are successful in spoiling her name, you have destroyed her brand.
You can't be beating me and ask me not to cry. You must pick one.
It is obvious that Funke brought the level of success they have now in Cinema with her energy, strength, can-do attitude, energy, among others. They are all beneficiaries of Funke's proactive efforts, ingenuity and broad-mindedness.
Why are they hating her? She has never mentioned anybody's name or complained of the success of someone. When Mo Abudu was leading at the Cinema, Funke worked with her. When AY Comedian was doing well, Funke worked with her. Why can't they too collaborate instead of hating?
They need to stop the Pull-Her-Down-Syndrome.

DeleteToyin was just doing too much in everything. When Kehinde Bankoke won AMVCA that year, the way Toyin went about it as if she was mocking Funke for not winning it instead.
Every year, she indirectly throws shade at Funke, making her look as if she is sabotaging them at the Cinema. Her fans too her not helping the situation.
Toyin should stay on her lane and stop being an hypocrite and pretending as if she doesn't know what she is doing. She just set Funke up for dragging. She knew they were not cool and Funke is not the one to pretend on her feelings with anyone, why was she going to their table to greet them one after the other. Even Priscilla(Host's daughter) didn't do that.
And this is for Aunty Funke, I know everyone is not perfect.
We all have our shortcomings, but ma, you are already big and it's so obvious some people want to bring you down, some times, be diplomatic and don't be too hard hearted for the sake of your brand you have built for years. You could have just faked it for the camera and set boundaries afterwards.
Now, the snubbing took the attention away from the movie premier itself.

Funke and Iyabo come a long way. Toyin is just trying to join herself with Iyabo. I think Toyin is a hypocrite she should just chill and leave her life without competition. Its govt money that is sponsoring her not hard work. She deserved the snub shr gor be like Mercy wey maintain her lane.
