She made this known in a post shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, where she addressed the actor directly and made it clear that she would not tolerate any further mention of her children in his narrative.
She stated that she is ready to take legal steps if the situation continues. The actress explained that her children were always properly cared for while growing up.
According to her, they were never left alone, as they were under the supervision of nannies or her late mother.
She also spoke about her former business location in Ilu-Peju, Lagos, noting that several staff members worked there, including stylists, sales attendants, and trainees.
This, she said, made it unlikely that she would personally leave her children in unsafe conditions or run errands by herself.
Iyabo Ojo said she has no issue with Baba Ijesha sharing his own side of events but insisted that her children must not be used in any attempt to gain sympathy or public support.
She stressed that the case involving a minor remains a serious matter and pointed out that the court had already delivered its judgment based on available evidence.
She wrote: “Stop using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly. I honestly have no problem with you telling your side of the story, but take this as a notice to cease and desist from using my children. The 14-year-old girl was a minor, and sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime.
You should show some remorse. The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my kids into this. Stop mentioning their names, else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers.”
Her reaction follows an interview granted by Baba Ijesha, where he spoke about his past relationship with the actress and mentioned times he claimed she left her children in his care.
He expressed sadness over how their relationship has changed and maintained that he never meant any harm.
In one of the accounts he shared, he described an incident at her shop in Ilu-Peju where he said he was asked to look after the children while she stepped out.
He claimed he later left them briefly with an apprentice and went to check on her, only to meet a crowd at the location.

This guy should shut it up
ReplyDeleteWhen this interview broke out on Biola Adebayo's platform yesterday, I was your thanking God that Jeweluchi didn't go through with the interview with him after all. All of the dragging she's receiving ehn..
ReplyDeleteIyabo you didn't answer the question: Yes/No?
Ijesa this is the time for sober reflection and remorse and not granting stupid interviews. Go and sin no more.
Iyabo's eyes are gorgeous. She looks like a gazelle.
ReplyDeleteThis man should zip it please
ReplyDeleteEven if Iyabo once left her kids in your care, does that justify what you did to the minor?Oh you expected her to support the nonsense you did; you better shut your mouth and plan on how to do something meaningful with your life.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't mean any harm by sucking a minor's fingers like a lollipop in the mouth of a refugee. You didn't mean any harm yet you were looking though the window to ensure no one else sees you before devouring a kid.
ReplyDeleteIs there not a legal reprimand for people who slander the court to this extent? This guy is in the offender's list. Why is he allowed around gatherings where children may be in the vicinity? Is the house where he was interviewed child-free? Please let us be serious about child protection in this situation.
Those pushing this man should tell him to stop
