Queen Ewuare Reacts To BTC Threats And Shows Proof Content Creator Peller's Benin Palace Visit Was Approved

The drama around streamer Peller's visit to the Oba of Benin's palace took a new turn when the queen involved spoke out directly to address the Benin Traditional Council's (BTC) strong statement calling his visit unauthorized,  a serious breach of protocol and disrespect to the sacred grounds of Oba Ewuare II's palace.

The council took action and one palace chief got suspended, a staff member was detained and handed to the police, and Queen Nowamagbe Ewuare the queen who appeared with Peller was threatened with disciplinary steps that could lead to her removal from the palace. The BTC also summoned Peller to appear before palace chiefs, demanded a full written apology, and warned of possible legal steps if he ignores the call. Peller has since denied doing anything wrong since their statement went public. He said his manager arranged everything and that he already apologized if anyone felt offended.

  1. I said it. The victimisation is too much. Peller sometimes behave irrationally but if he were y'all brother, would you accept this discrimination against him and his brand? Is Peller not a human being? I don't know what's special about this Benin kingdom or whatever..

Y'all better issue Peller an apology. He carry grace, forget the yamayama he often does for the content.

BTW, y'all have totally ignored the main point of this post, that there's an approval for Peller's visit to the palace. Thank goodness the queen is not from Yoruba tribe, bunch of bigots.

You would not have made this type of comment about the (Northern) Sokoto Caliphate or British Monarchy.

I'm not from Edo State but you are obviously ignorant of the history of the Bini Kingdom (midspelt as Benin by the Colonial masters).

Respect Nigerian and African traditions and culture. That's your originore than the "y'all" foreign culture you are quick to pick up and flaunt!

  3. This only shows acknowledgement of the request to visit the palace. It's not an approval. If the council didn't issue Peller a formal approval letter to visit the palace, then he was wrong going there unauthorized.

  7. The letter is NOT an approval. Please note that this letter is merely an acknowledgement of receipt of your request and NOT an approval. The inclusion of an extra copy for endorsement is a standard practice, indicating receipt only, and does not imply approval.

Queen better go and appeal your case inside and not compound it. Pellar needs a sound Brand Management team

  10. All of you defending culture this, culture that should be able to draw the line when a culture is use as an instrument to intimidate people indiscriminately. Someone was violently assaulted and stripped naked just because someone said he disrespect the oba. No due process, no investigation. A lot of these culture cannot stand in the court of law. And some of you are exhibiting double standard and calling other people's king pigs. That is a very bad behaviour and it just shows the level of your understanding.

  13. A letter received doesn't mean the visit is approved. All letters that gets to the council will be stamped received. Did he get a letter approving his visit? He should have followed up to confirm approval.

The council also should have responded to him disapproving his visit.
