Widow Narrates How She Allegedly Paid N7 Million To Influencers To Create Awareness For Her Late Hubby's Kidney Transplant

A Nigerian widow has opened up in a viral video about the painful steps she took to save her husband’s life. Her husband had kidney failure and needed N45 million for a transplant. In desperation, she reached out to some influencers and philanthropists to help spread the word on their social media pages and help her husband raise the money.

According to her detailed story in the video, these influencers did not post for free. They sent their respective rate cards with fees before agreeing to share her husband’s story. She alleges she paid a total of more than N7 million through middle people, including a contact in Canada. This included N5 million to Tacha, N1 million to King Mitchy, and N750,000 to Maryann.

The influencers after being paid did post about the fundraiser. But the donations that came in were very small, she said it was almost nothing compared to what she needed. And soon her husband passed away without getting the transplant. The widow says she was willing to do anything because she loved her husband and wanted him to live. She even mentions in the video that she always discussed every decision with him before paying. Now she is speaking out so others in similar situations know what can happen.

The influencers she mentioned have denied collecting any money from her...LOL

  3. I pity anyone who believes anything these hungry 'influencers' say or the perceived clout they think they have.
There's no difference between a Nigerian 'influencer' and Nigerian pastor preneur.

    Hungry louts.

  7. It is from this story I got to know that most of our celebrities ask for payment before posting a sick person soliciting for funds,
I also saw a comment on Facebook where someone said that she sent a DM to Uche Ogbodo to help her with the drugs she used to cure herself when she was reacting to something, she said that Uche asked her to pay 100,000 consultation fee first and forwarded her account number immediately but her mother later told her not to pay it, another person said that the same Uche asked her to pay 100,000 for consultation first, then asked her to pay another 100,000 so that she will tell her the drugs she used and another 100,000 to pay for the drugs.
But my question is why spend 7,000,000 because you want to raise 45,000,0000?

  8. I believe the lady's story!
We live in a cold world... There is nolonger
humanity in humans of these days.

When my immediate younger sister had breast cancer, I sourced for help from everywhere I could think of. I even reached out to radio stations, NGOs, no help came. Not even a little help! It was the darkest time of my life.

I developed high blood pressure from the storm of that season... And yet, my sister passed, due to lack of proper medical care 💔 😥 😔

  9. The so called celebrities of today are after their own bread. If you think they send you, you are in a dream land...

Bobrisky is the only celebrity I have seen that helped people in need of medical care... She help with her own millions, and still used her influence to get donations.

    1. Bobrisky is who you are calling a "she"?
If not for the correct English you used to type this comment, I would have concluded that he was the one that posted this comment, cos he's the only one that addresses himself as a female.

  10. Of course the thieves will deny it, that's why they use middle men to start with, just so they can dissociate themselves from this kind of call outs and act like they had no hands in it.
Tufia, this excessive love of money ruining humanity.

  14. Honestly, I think she should report the bank account and the middleman to the authorities. Some things just need to be nipped in the bud.

Anyway, it's not just influencers, some people just have an excessive love for money. Or should I say, desperation?

About 12 years ago, a neighbor told me how she used herbal tea to treat her typhoid after frequent hospital visits. I asked where she bought it, and she refused to tell me. Instead, she asked for money to buy it on my behalf since I was also dealing with typhoid constantly. The tea was about ₦550 then and she wanted to charge me ₦1800. I asked to properly see the tea so I could go find it but she started hiding it.

I was about to gather the money when I went shopping and spotted what I thought was similar tea in a supermarket , I although it turned out to be same tea. Anyways, I bought three packs since the place was far from home. I even saw the malaria version at a discount .They worked beautifully.

She was shocked when she saw me with the tea the next morning. I don't know if she felt ashamed or not. But since then, I've introduced that tea to countless people.,neighbors, strangers, anyone dealing with typhoid or malaria. I would even write directions for them as I got to know more carriers due to the nature of my job then. They always call to thank me.

I believe God showed it to me for a reason.

  16. They use middle men to collect such shameful monies so that they can distance themselves from any call-out in future. Wicked souls.
