The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, April 16, 2026, issued a warrant of arrest to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, and the ministry’s former Permanent Secretary, Bashir Nura Alkali.
The court’s order authorises the EFCC to arrest and produce both officials in relation to ongoing investigations linked to their tenure at the ministry.
This woman served under Buhari administration. There were alleged corruption cases on her but the ruling party turned a blind sight on her. Suddenly, they remember her simply cos the husband declared his gubernatorial ambition on the ADC platform. These are the issues with the Nigerian style of governance. Would it have been so if the husband had declared under APC?
ReplyDeleteWhy wait till this time when her husband came out to express his intention to run for an office. Probably they coerce her husband to drop his ambition or wretch them financially not to be able to pursue their ambition.
Nigeria is a fuck country. Anyhowness and a country of a particular concern.
