Singer Asa Talks About Being In A Relationship That Is Freedom Themed

Nigerian singer Asa (Real name Bukola Elemide) has shared her personal outlook on love and relationships, rooted in freedom and emotional independence. 

She told Ndani TV......

 “I don't know what it feels like to be heartbroken. I have been disappointed. I've thought of one person for the entire year , is he thinking of me? What is he doing now? Does he feel bad about what he did? You know, but it doesn't stop me from loving. Loving is the best thing, you know?” 

Asa explained that she always sets the tone early in her relationships, making it clear that love should never feel like ownership. “And one thing I always do with relationships is I tell the person, you don't own me and I don't own you. You can leave anytime you want. So that's the first freedom.” 

Despite disappointments, she believes in staying open to love, insisting that it’s the only way to find the right person. “But you should never stop loving. How would you know who the right person is if you don't keep loving, if you don't keep dating, if you don't keep finding the right people?” 

And in her signature free‑spirited style, she added, “You have to date like it's going out of fashion.”
