Her husband, Mr. Paul, said she developed sudden breathing complications on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and despite being placed on oxygen and medication, she died the following morning.
Charity had earlier been detained in the hospital with her babies because the family could not settle their N3 million medical bill, leaving an outstanding balance of N1.4 million at the time of her death.
One of the quadruplets, who had been placed in an incubator due to complications, also died before Charity passed. Paul said his wife had asked about the baby, but he withheld the news because of her condition.
The family has since been discharged from the hospital.

ReplyDeleteIf finances are a challenge, please attend a government hospital and plan well over the 9 months so you are not stranded. Also, family heath insurance is a must . The hospital also has it's running costs. This issue of locking up patients is not the best for hospitals. This incident will take a huge toll on staff with feelings of guilt.
