A Memo To Naija Celebs...

Dear Naija Celebs ......I know that you are all hurting over his shocking exit but please stop setting ring lights to cry and post it...WHAT IS THAT????

He was a very private person and that is why he did not announce that he was sick,so do not come now that he is gone to be telling us things you would not have said about him if he was alive....leave the talking to his wife or family...
You must not post to show support if you dont know what to say......
He was a friend to all of you but he was only close to a few.....

STOP CHASING CLOUT WITH THIS!!!!

And to the actress that posted the breaking news on X yesterday...are you OK? Are you a journalist? why did you have to rush to break the news instead of keeping quiet and waiting it out? Almost everyone that has called me is upset with what you did.........Iyawo pastor, behave yourself!!

He has a young wife who is still in shock, let us respect her right to mourn privately by keeping sensitive details off social media...
And if any took photos of him, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT.....

Cry privately, no ring light videos please...
No posts revealing sensitive issues or detals.....
Ask his wife privately how you can support and do not announce it....

Thank you.

  4. I wish that cursed woman swapped places with Alex. To think she is still talking, and her black hand is back to normal. Evil being. May what she has wished upon herself visit her in stage 4.

    1. They never rush to share milestones and achievement.
When it is negative news, or anything to grow their channels or appear like they have breaking news, they trip and bounce in their heads as they rush to publish.
How many of these platforms supported his works when he was alive? How many if you reposted his videos? How many of you attend his events.
      Useless, hypocritical swine.

  6. Also, stop posting screenshot of your conversation with him... You don't need to prove to the public that you kept in touch with him while he was alive... Na that one dey vex me

Who makes the unwritten rules or do and donts of online media space?
    Who reads it?
    Who enforces it?

  9. Angela Okorie has said several times that when she was shot in the head and was in the hospital, unconscious and fighting for her life, Uche Elendu and another actress friend of hers came to visit her, surreptitiously took pictures of her, and sent them to blogs.

Those pictures of Angela that leaked were taken by her friends. If they had managed to handle it privately, it would never have leaked.

Most times when blogs come out with breaking news about celebrities, it is the friends of the celebs, their workers, their domestic staff, their caregivers, who tell them those things.

Take Chinedu Nwadike. When he was sick, in his dying moments, the people around him convinced him to make a video where he was confessing to all sorts of things and asking God to please forgive him, that he did not want to die.

It was deeply disturbing because that humiliating moment should not have happened. Nobody should have told him that if he confessed or made that video, God would spare his life. He should have been spared that indignity.

Despite the confession, he still died. But that video will always remain on the internet because a friend, a colleague, somebody in his life, told a vulnerable, desperate man who was in pain to confess so that God would forgive him and he would not die. And the person stealthily recorded it and leaked it.

If you were an ardent follower of Gistlover that year, you would remember that when Genevieve was checked into a hospital in the US, a Nigerian nurse DM-ed Gistlover that they had just checked in Genevieve because she was having a psychotic break.
In fact, when GLB posted the gist then, the handle of the said nurse was showing. He did not blur it well.

Madam nurse even said she would have recorded a video of Genevieve but they would have known it was her.

Likewise, when one politician travelled to the UK and slumped in a hotel and died, it was a Nigerian who worked at the hotel who made a short video of him and sent it to blogs.

All this is to say kudos to Alex’s friends, caregivers, domestic staff, and everyone in his inner circle.

    1. Anonymous you have said it all
      Nothing more to add
That was how late actor Muna Obiekwe similarly managed to keep his terminal kidney disease private to the very end
But at the tail end, one of his colleagues who visited him in his last moments took a picture of him and the picture leaked

By the way have y’all noticed that Clinton Joshua resembles Muna a lot?
He could pass for his son
Too bad Muna was gone by the time Clinton started acting
They could have acted as father and son in a movie
That would have been a heavenly sight to behold

  10. Continue....

I was discussing with my friend yesterday and I said I was very grateful that the people in Alex’s life went along with his wish and protected his privacy till the very end. It is very rare to have people like that.

Not everybody wants pity. Not everybody wants to suffer in the full glare of the public. Not everybody wants their pain out there. A lot of people like to handle their stuff in private. If it works out, they will come out and testify. If it does not, so be it.

Like most Nigerians, I did not know Alex was sick. We just thought he took a social media break.

He was able to maintain his privacy and the dignity that comes with it because his inner circle bu mmadu. They did not leak any stories to any blogs. In fact, it was only after his demise that we learned that he was even married. Who knew he had a wife?

I read Funke Akindele’s post yesterday, and she said she kept trying to reach out to Alex, but Alex declined. A lot of people checked on him and wanted to see him, but he declined and said he was fine.

I think he said no because if they saw him, they would know he was sick, and from there it could become breaking news. He wanted to deal with his illness in private. And it is so admirable and honourable that the people close to him kept his marriage and his sickness very quiet.

So I just want to take a moment to applaud his friends, family, caregivers, and inner circle for protecting him and his pride.

Our people say that mmebọ emebọrọ ogaranya ka ogbugbu egburu ya. To a great man, disgrace or humiliation is worse than death.
The fact that he maintained his pride, his privacy, and his dignity to the very end is everything.

I am happy that the public didn't get to see him in pain. The pictures and videos we have of him are of him in good health and happy. We do not have videos of him emaciated, sick, in tears, in pain, in a vulnerable state.

We do not have friends secretly taking videos and pictures of him to leak to blogs, and to me, that is a win.
So I am grateful that he lacked nothing. He did not lack finances, love, or care. He had loyal people around him until the very end.

They honoured his privacy till the end. And that is all that matters.

    1. Honestly, his closed friends and family need to be given accolades for not exposing him and I love how he shut all the yeyebrities out and insisted he was fine, if not, they would have sent his story to blogs or posted it in disguise of pity.
