Hon Desmond Publicly Begs After Gbajabiamila Reveals His Name Appeared In ‘Damaging’ Intel

Lagos lawmaker and Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot has publicly apologised to President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, after the presidential aide revealed he almost lost his job over intelligence reports linking Elliot to the political crisis around the attempted impeachment of Lagos Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.

Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Elliot called Gbajabiamila his political mentor and said any misunderstanding was unintentional.

He said “To err is human, to forgive is divine. I’m sorry, my daddy,”

He also apologised to a female political leader he described as the “matriarch of Surulere.”

The apology followed Gbajabiamila’s recent revelation that President Tinubu summoned him in Abuja during the Obasa saga, confronting him with intelligence reports alleging Elliot was involved.

Gbajabiamila told party members “I almost lost my job as Chief of Staff last year because of Desmond Elliot,”

He said the DSS also contacted him, warning that his name was being linked to the crisis. Gbajabiamila claimed he repeatedly instructed Mr Elliot to publicly distance himself from the impeachment plot but he didnt.

Mr Gbajabiamila revealed that he no longer supports Mr Eliott and has chosen a new candidate to support.
