The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, is mourning the loss of actress and director Oby Kechere, fondly remembered for her iconic role as Ms. Koi Koi in the classic comedy Aki na Ukwa.
Her passing was announced by the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) on Friday, May 1, 2026, through its official Instagram page.
According to the guild, she passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 after a long illness....
