She is accused of obtaining ₦36,000,000 from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye between July 14–17, 2024 under the false pretence of leasing a six‑bedroom detached duplex in Lekki, and of converting the money to personal use.
She pleaded not guilty, but after EFCC insisted that private settlement talks could not stop a criminal prosecution, the judge ordered her remanded in EFCC custody pending trial.
