The Anambra State Government has arrested Pastor Harrison Charles, founder of Day Spring Assembly in Awada, Onitsha, after a viral video accused him of snatching married women from their husbands and running a disturbing cult‑like system inside his church.
According to multiple reports, members alleged that Pastor Harrison forced couples to swap spouses and even took several married women for himself, claiming it was “divine instruction.”
Dr. Ejimofor Opara, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, said officials were shocked when they stormed the pastor’s residence and allegedly found 11 babies inside the house. Pastor Harrison reportedly claimed the babies were all his, fathered with 11 different wives.
He also allegedly confessed that he no longer knows how many wives or children he has, as the situation had “grown beyond his control.”
The pastor has since been handed over to the police, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the alleged abuses.
