Denmark Moves To Ban Islamic Call To Prayer Amid New Govt Crackdown
Denmark is moving to ban the Islamic call to prayer as the new government revives a probe into whether such a restriction would be legal under Danish and EU law.
Morten Bodskov of the Social Democrats said the public call to prayer is taking up too much space in Danish society and that the government intends to limit it. This marks the third attempt to outlaw the practice after similar efforts in 2020 and 2025.
