Police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that Adetayo’s body was found in the security post, while Oyesiku was discovered face‑up inside her apartment. Her Lexus RX 330, initially missing, was recovered on June 22, 2026.
Five days after the killing, the police arrested Sodeinde Olajuwon Phillip (22) a former security guard to the deceased along with Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola (27) and Sobu Obafunsho (36).
Sodeinde, identified as the mastermind, confessed that he planned the attack to “teach her a lesson” over grievances he held from his time working for her.
Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni said the suspects first overpowered the security guard, used him to gain entry, then unalifed both victims. A handwritten note recovered at the scene underwent forensic analysis, helping detectives track the killers. Recovered items include a broken hammer, cutlass, plank, black pen, and other exhibits.
The CP stressed that although the suspects have made useful statements, they remain entitled to due process as investigations continue to ensure diligent prosecution.
