Friday Night Amebo Post

Relax and gist post....wey dem!!!

  1. June hasn’t turned out well for me. No new jobs or maintenance work yet since it began, and the rain sometimes makes it difficult too.

I understand perfectly now what my dad used to say while growing up. Eternal rest granted unto his soul. He’d say, “The firewood you gather during the dry season is what you’ll use during the rainy season.” I learned so much from him.

Most times, my saving grace was stocking the kitchen with foodstuff once funds were available. This has really helped me during times when there’s no work. I’ll always encourage bulk buying if you have the funds. It doesn’t just save you money, it also saves you from the pressure of feeding.`

Anyone who can comfortably feed themselves or their home has solved one of life’s biggest problems and challenges. Food security is peace of mind.

May God meet us and answer us right at the point of our need.`

This is just a season, and seasons always change. Thank God you planned ahead by stocking your kitchen. That foresight has become a blessing for you today.
Most importantly, don't lose hope. God never forgets his own, and He will surely come through for you. May He bless the work of your hands, provide for every home, and turn every dry season into a testimony. Amen.

  2. Someone showed me where to get cosmetics and skincare at wholesale price few weeks ago and that's about the best thing that has happened to me since moving to this town.
The difference in price between wholesalers and retail shops is between #700 to #1000 on each item inside the same market ooo.

  4. Something just happened that I am fighting between my good side and my bad side.

One random person sent me an inbox on my AI page asking if I can teach him how to make AI videos.

Now I paid to learn. A part of me wants to ask him to pay and another part is telling me that Shey it’s just one person na that I can just teach him for free.

Now while the guy is waiting for a response, my good and bad side is fighting wondering who will win.

    1. Eka dear, I don't advice you teach to just any random person. He or she should at least introduce himself properly to you 😊

And I think I understand your point:. You paid a Professional to acquire that knowledge and you worry that if you teach others for free, professionals of those courses are deprived of income? True. I'll advise you help him out with the basics of Ai. Teaching can improve your expertise Also copyright materials should not be shared.

    5. I charge money to teach people my skills but sometimes there are some certain ways or approach someone come with i will just give you tips, mostimes i will even teach them everything,it left for you to learn.
So Eka i will suggest you just teach him as first person,if then he bring more people you can charge them
      Weldon Asa🥰

    6. Charge him before you teach him
You be surprised if you teach him for free, he will teach other people and collect money from them.

You didn’t acquire the knowledge for free, so why should you teach others for free?

This should be a business to you. Forget your good or bad side for now. He is not your family member or close friend.

    7. At Gloria o I'm curious to know what your skills are. Please can you share.

      Thanks

    8. Eka. Do you mind sharing your AI page here? I think you should charge him. No matter how small, what you get free we do not value. Cheers.

  8. Been searching for a house in the city. So, someone referred me to his boss's house in one of the estates in Galadimawa.
I went to see the one bedroom bq but unfortunately, the landlord had left 5 minutes before my arrival. He said he had an emergency and had to fly to Lagos. If I could wait, he'd send someone to show me the apartment. I said fine.

Just across the boulevard, I saw a security guard sitting on a bench outside another house. I joined him. We started talking, I told him why I was there and who I was waiting for. He was friendly.
We talked about life in Abuja, cost of living, how everything is just expensive. He told me his family of 6 lives at Uke, in his father's house. He has a land there and is hoping to build someday. He earns 50k, his wife is a petty trader. I encouraged him. He advised me to buy a land in his community and start something instead of paying the huge sum I was about to pay in the estate.
I smiled and told him I wasn't interested in living in those parts again, I'd rather go back to my father's house. I recounted to him how much I suffered in Abuja, how I lived in the trenches for years, no going back. Besides, how can the few mill buy a land and build a house I can live in with my child? Except if I'm prepared to go deep in the forests where it will be easy to be a cook for bandits. Lol.

Anyway, we talked about other things, like real gist. I was so free with him. I'm like that.
The person I was waiting for never came. I exchanged numbers with my new friend. After all, we'll probably be neighbors. I liked him and felt pity for him, I was already thinking of ways I could be giving him small jobs and paying him to boost his income.

Brethren, I'm here to announce that this man started pestering me on phone. Not to ask for financial help, but for me to be his girlfriend. He said he liked my character, that he wants to be with me. He suggested that I come stay with him in his one room selfcon security post.
    Ekwensu di wicked.

This is a man in his late 40s or early 50s, MARRIED with 4 kids, living in his FATHER'S HOUSE and earning 50k.
And then there's me looking to break from from the shackles of poverty.
    Atink you people are seeing?

    2. 😂😂😂 that’s why is not always advisable to be too friendly to strangers. Now see! Maybe he thought you fancy him😂😂😂.

This reminds me of years back in early 2000 when I was an undergraduate in UNN OOO. My very rich uncle security man in Aba who was from calabar was telling my uncle’s boys that he liked me. Chai! I pitied myself that day, I am also a very friendly person (before you judge me, I am very beautiful and contested for Miss Pharmacy in Uni back then. Now I have been married to an American for 22 years).

That day, I was asking God why my life was so different. This was an uncle that governors, senators and young guys from abroad were trooping his house back then.

A lot of people take kindness and friendliness as weakness. Now I am still friendly but I have boundaries.

  10. Just got back home after a long long day, left for work at 8am, got back home at 2pm, cooked, washed and cleaned, by the time I was done, it was 4:30 already, had to start preparing for my evening workout session, made it there at 5:40 pm, jogged round the court 10x, skipped 2000, did squats and also touched upper body.

Got home at 7:30, had dinner, folded my laundry and took a hot hot bath. Its a day well spent if you ask me

In bed now resting and missing my baby, if he was here, 1 round for don send me to sleep.
Really hoping this our relationship leads to marriage, I am madly in love with this guy but I dont show it so much so it wont start getting into his head.

G ❤️ my fine man I miss you so much

You'll should enjoy your evening and have a sweet sweet weekend.

  12. I'm a single mom of a teenager, I will be praying for marriage and whenever I see a man that wants to marry me, I will still be the one to run away.
I want the benefits of good marriage but not ready to do the work that comes with it (responsibilities and role of a good wife), I think I want marriage for no genuine reasons other than the society I find myself that always look down on unmarried people, I want to get married just because I want to prove to people that I can get married, and I think it's not fair to any man I will marry, I prefer freedom to being under someone in the name of marriage.
And to make matter worse, I don't always attract people that have kids, I attract people that never have kids and want to have their own kids most of the time, I don't think I want to go through pregnancy and child birth journey again, let alone taking care of kids, I wish I were in a society that doesn't take marriage and giving birth as priorities.
