Speaking with unmistakable clarity and anger, Igboho reminded the community of previous incidents where kidnappers allegedly killed a pregnant woman and the person who attempted to pay ransom. He warned that such acts would no longer be tolerated on his father’s land.
“You can’t be kidnapping people in my hometown. I am Sunday Igboho, and I am from this hometown,” he declared, giving them just two hours to free the victims.
Shortly after the ultimatum, videos and reports emerged confirming that the kidnapped family members had been released. Residents of Igboho poured into the streets, dancing, singing, and celebrating the safe return of their people.
The dramatic rescue has once again placed Igboho at the center of grassroots security activism in the South‑West.
Good news
ReplyDeleteThank God.
ReplyDeleteThank God for their release.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the children and their teachers?
Could this mean that they fear igboho more than Nigerian military and police?
ReplyDeleteOr could it mean he did it and released them just to make a point?
DeleteAnon 12:04.. I’m sure you don’t believe what you wrote too but clout didn’t allow you to stop writing it
DeleteSame igboho wey fulani military nearly kill during bubu tenure, same igboho wey dem lock under house arrest for cotonou during bubu tenure. If we all hard listened to the warnings of NMK, we for no dey suffer all these infiltration of kidnappers and their plans to take over nation.
ReplyDeleteHe threatened their seriki Fulani and the victims were released asap, meaning their seriki knows about the kidnapping
ReplyDeleteExactly! They should call the Seriki out on other kidnappings too.
DeleteTrue. They all have a hand in it. We saw in 'Herd' movie.
DeleteDon't mind Igboho and co, this is a case of from Joro to Joro.
DeleteDon't forget he is pushing to have his own security outfit that would fish out criminals. How else can he show his potency if he doesn't do something like this.
Anyway approve his Security plans at your own peril, his impunity will later be worse than that of Nnamdi Kanu's ESN
What about the school children & teachers? 😩
