The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested a man, Ibobuminaten Oweifa, for allegedly pouring fuel on a young man, Godgift Biko, and setting him on fire in Okodi Community, Ogbia LGA.

The attack reportedly happened after the boy was accused of stealing pieces of wood. Witnesses say he admitted the theft, apologised, and had already been beaten before the suspect escalated the assault by setting him ablaze.
Police moved swiftly after a video of the incident went viral and confirmed that Oweifa will face full investigation and prosecution. The victim was rushed to a nearby pharmacy and is currently recovering from severe burns.

What is going on in the world????
ReplyDeleteSevere burns went to pharmacy instead of pharmacy. It is well.
DeleteWickedness is in the DNA of a large number of Nigerians. From the Oga at the top to the beggar on the streets.
ReplyDeleteJesus! What kind of evil is this? The person standing there couldn't do anything about it? Evil man he should rot in jail
ReplyDeleteLike getting burnt as well? The evidence he obtained is what will give the boy a chance at justice.
DeleteWhat kind of wickedness is this. Setting a boy on fire 🔥.
ReplyDeleteMay God forgive the evil man.
If the boy survive,he will never steal again.Wickedness of man.
ReplyDeleteWhen did many Nigerian ms become wicked like this? Setting a person ablaze 🥺 Let them set him ablaze too!
ReplyDeleteThis is wickedness in the highest order
ReplyDeleteBut that man is very heartless to do such thing, they should just do him same thing he did to the boy.. heartless wicked soul..
ReplyDeleteHe should be set on fire too.
ReplyDeleteBurns are not a chemist case. The fluid and electrolytes loss from such a small boy can be fatal. The perpetrator should bring out money to have this boy well treated. He has bought an expensive case that his heaps of wood will be used to finance. He will still go into serious debt to doctors, lawyers, police and the boy's family.
ReplyDeleteIf he gave the boy a flammable liquid as the picture suggests, the man is heading to jail to die.
This is what happens to the psyche when you wear suffering at the center of your chest, confess it and refuse to see anything positive in life.
That agile boy could have made an honest living doing odd jobs and hawking but he let people convince him that he is hungry and has earned an exemption to the rules so he used his energy on a failed fast one. The potbellied man has also bought the ongoing suffering tirade as his memory verse, believing things are so hard that a non living log should be replaced with a human life. The devil that deceived them is not at any corner laughing. He is off to his next project because unlike others, he is serious with his life and knows the time is short.
Times are hard, you are hungry and one state grew from 15 to 245 billion dollars in worth over 25 years with no kobo gumming you. People built billion dollar businesses with generator and lantern during the same period you are demanding light you can't afford with wires you won't stop stealing.
Currently, foreigners are flooding Nigerian. There are tens of trillions of naira being spent across different construction projects but you are still hungry. Food in prison is free. The taste and size are the issue.
I say it all the time and i am convinced of it. A lot of people are evil and wicked and fantasize playing out their wicked thoughts on people. Once given the opportunity, they seize it. You can see it from the way , people grab an opportunity to beat/injure a person even based on hearsay. You look at a human being, pour a flammable liquid on him and set him ablaze!!!!! and there were people or someone looking and they did nothing..... i am in shock. In fact they should all be bundled as accessories to the crime.
ReplyDeleteThat is so wicked of him.. he should be made to face the law.. jungle justice is no justice at all.
