MARRIED IN FEBRUARY, DEAD BY AUGUST:
Wife Killed Months After Filing for Divorce Over Alleged Infidelity

Some true crime stories serve as painful reminders that leaving a dangerous relationship does not always guarantee safety.

According to reports, Alicia Lofton married Marcus Lofton in February, hoping to build a future together. However, within just a few months of the marriage, serious problems reportedly emerged.
By May, Marcus had allegedly been arrested for domestic violence, and a court reportedly ordered him to stay away from Alicia through a protection order designed to keep her safe.
The situation worsened in August when Alicia reportedly filed for divorce after allegedly discovering repeated acts of infidelity. Reports claim she found her husband involved in relationships with other men, prompting her decision to end the marriage.
But the divorce filing and court protection order were not enough to stop what would happen next.
Police say Marcus later went to the residence where Alicia was staying and confronted her. An argument reportedly broke out between the pair, during which a firearm was discharged. Alicia attempted to flee the scene but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

Following the incident, Marcus fled, triggering a search by law enforcement authorities. He was eventually apprehended and taken into custody.
Court records indicate that Marcus later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to between 25 and 50 years in prison.
Alicia's story is a heartbreaking reminder that a relationship should never become a death sentence.

  1. Well, thank God they are finally telling the truth. Protective orders and divorce is not going to protect anyone. Police cannot prevent crime, they can only respond after it happens.

Rest in peace, Alicia. You were wed under deception, as a cover for a gay man. Once you left that cover was gone. A wicked, evil, immoral deceiver. Let us never get tired of praying for discernment and wisdom in all areas of our lives.

  7. Funny enough if my man is cheating on me with a man, I won't bat an eyelid. I would worry if it's with a woman because we are too jealous of each other.

  10. Dear Ladies. Disappear quietly when the time is up. I ran quietly loooooooooooooool. Whats the point of getting into a heated argument when the deed is done? Turn deaf and dumb and disappear
