According to the association, Nigerians may begin to buy gas at about N900 per kilogram if current government policies and supply improvements continue.
NALPGAM noted that increased local production, better infrastructure, and reduced dependence on imported LPG are key factors that could drive the price down.

Before 2026 end ke, what about now...
ReplyDeleteSame thing I said. This people are wicked.
DeleteWait . I thought we have Dangote why still importing LNG
ReplyDeleteGas is priced globally. Local producers have to sell at the prevailing international market price.
DeleteUsing the word ‘could’ means it’s not a certainty. There should be commitment to alleviating the harsh economy that’s biting Nigerians so hard, not telling us ‘may’, ‘could’, ‘might’ all that nonsense.
ReplyDeleteIf not for the deep rot and corruption epidemic in the system, should Nigerians be spending so much on resources bestowed on us naturally by God?
©️ TEEJAY
Where Nigeria see cooking gas abi you no read well?
DeleteTeejay, it costs quite a lot to set up the infrastructure to harness gas, pressurise it and distribute. Yes gas is free flowing resource but it takes billions of dollars of investment to capture it.
DeleteIn other words, ENDURE.
ReplyDeleteVery sad o. Imagine buying 1kg for 1800.
DeleteAs in ehn. Everyone should brace up.
DeleteMy area is 2k for 1kg
DeleteSluttychic, it is sad. Foodstiff is on the high side, what you will still use to cook is high. I don't know whether they want us to start eating grass.
DeleteJustyswt, even if we brace up, they will still look for how to shock us.
Pretty Mary, like play like play.
When the wicked is on the throne, the people suffer.
ReplyDeleteYet, the people will still vote the same wicked leaders.
DeleteSo what happens now that we are buying as 1900. So we should keep buying
ReplyDeleteIt's well.
ReplyDeletethey should better do something, the cost of living is higher than the living.
ReplyDeleteIt is well!
ReplyDeleteWhy not now bikonu.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even a guaranteed promise sef.
I remembered when 1kg use to be #200
ReplyDeleteTo think there was a time I used to fill up my gas cylinder with 3k.
Delete200 naira fa. It is well!
DeleteNigeria has one of the largest reserves of natural gas in the world yet we suffer as if we have offended somebody. Nigeria is building a 4,128 kilometre gas pipeline through Niger then Algeria that will supply 30 billion cubic metres of gas (LNG) straight to Europe yet Nigerians are suffering for something that belongs to them. Power belongs to the people but I guess the people do not know, they allow rotten leaders to continue leading them, it is well.
ReplyDeleteHaving the largest gas reserves is useless when we have to depend on external investors to capture and make it available for use.
DeleteHmmm. So the current high cost is meant to last for long? It is well.
ReplyDeleteGod have mercy on us
ReplyDeleteI bought on Sunday with tears almost falling down my face at 2,300 a kg at the gas station.
ReplyDeleteIt’s 2,500 a kg from the retailers selling on the street
I filled 12kg for 27,600. The last one before this one was 15,600. It is that painful
Extremely painful... Lord please help us.
DeleteI bought for 2k just this morning. Na wa ooo.
ReplyDeleteI thought he wanted to say by the month end.
ReplyDeleteNa to find alternative be that.
Anything that goes up in this country hardly comes down
What other alternative? Every other one is expensive too
DeleteHmmm!!!
ReplyDeleteNot even by month ending.
Which kind 2026 ending.
Na wah ooo
God show mercy
Who did we offend
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteSo Make We Endure ba
Lord Have Mercy 🙏
Hello iya Boys
End of 2026 still far oooo
ReplyDeleteGod have mercy!
"May meaning it's uncertain.
ReplyDeleteYet you all will sit at home on election day or still vote for a rubbish in power
ReplyDeleteNeither NALPGAM nor the FG are in control of the price of gas, which is globally adjusted according to the invincible hands of supply and demand globally.
ReplyDeleteNo one knows what's up with the Hormuz strait which sets the base price and then local downstream issues that add on to that base price. We can speculate and hope but the important thing is to keep expanding the gas network and keeping labor from poorly advised adventure borne from bias. As long as the price is not inflated and can be objectively explained, God will give grace.
Bought #2500 a kg 🥲
ReplyDeleteThey flare gas in the niger delta 24/7 yet for domestic use is expensive. why not work on the gas and make it okay for domestic use instead of wasting it and we pay more for same product?
ReplyDelete
