Police Arrest Man Over A.I Voice Note Impersonating President Tinubu

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a man named Ifechukwu Dennis in Benin City, Edo State. He is accused of creating and spreading a fake voice recording that sounded like President Bola Tinubu.
This fake audio went viral in late May 2026.
The police plan to release an official statement soon.

  6. Let me finally help you guys here and educate you about why it's hard to easily trace bandits, bandits only use victims phone to upload those videos and they don't use the same phone twice because they know they would be tracked.

    Once they make use of one phone, they immediately trash it in a far away location from where they are.

    I would have loved to explain much better but am very busy with work now.

    2. As long as they are in that forest, they can be tracked. Devices can track human movement, too.

      How do you think Harrison Gwanmishu tracks bandits? It's just that the Nigerian forces do not want to work because of political reasons. Moreover, some top political parties are always involved in such insecurities during elections, just to mesmerize the opposition.

      Once the bandits are located, everyone can be smoked to sleep, and then they take action. The victims can be identified among them.
