Welcome back to the music scene Adokiye!

What Inspired your new single ADOKIYE?

---As a Singer, and Song writer, the song “ADOKIYE” was inspired by the concept of freedom, self discovery, and perseverance.
“ADOKIYE” which is also a self titled song, reflects the idea of being free to become who you truly want to be through dedication, resilience, and hard work. It is more like an anthem to all Hardworking people who never give up, no matter what Life throws at them.

The song carries a powerful and prayerful message about lifestyle, determination, and self belief. Moreso, thanking everyone who had supported me over the Years without giving up on me.

-Why did you step back from making music for a few years?

As a professional Architect, I struggled for a long time to balance my music career with my professional career. At a point, it became mentally and emotionally draining because I was not achieving the level of results I desired in either field. I needed to learn more from my Music mentors, to feed my fans what they expect from me Musically.
I realised I needed to take a step back, refocus, and develop myself Musically, Academically and professionally so I could eventually manage both careers effectively without neglecting either one.

-What did you do after you went missing in action?

I moved to the UK, decided to further broaden my knowledge and opportunities in the Music Business and in my Profession. At the time when I moved to the UK initially, it wasn’t really easy and Rosy I must say. I did all sort of Jobs that was not in line with my Profession, to pay the Bills, but with time and by God’s Grace I found my way back in line with what I needed to be and do.
In addition to Architecture, I decided to study Civil Engineering to strengthen my skill set and expand my professional portfolio.

-Are you back fully into music or you will do both working and singing?

I am back to my Music and Entertainment fully. Entertaining my fans and well wishers has always been my forte, I am not not going anywhere. All I want is for my fans to continue loving me for who I am, because I am the only one who exists as me, same way everyone who exists, exists as themselves alone.

My professional side cannot also be wavered, that is all I can say, because they are two different worlds entirely, I would not allow any of either to counter any, but take it from me, you will be getting Loads of Entertainment from me, and my Artistic side will always be shown.
