Jim Iyke explained that he made a decision many might consider unexpected.
“Immediately after my divorce, I did something unthinkable. I sometimes like to stir things up,” he said.
He noted that a few of his exes reached out, reminding him that they had previously told him his marriage to a white woman might not work and that he needed a black woman instead. He questioned whether their comments were based on race, and this led him to reconnect with some of them.
However, each meeting made it clear that things had changed.
He said that whenever he sat with them, he realized they were no longer the women he once knew, and they also recognized he was no longer the man he used to be as they now saw a father, a leader, and someone with stronger boundaries. Behaviors he tolerated in the past were things he would not accept now.
Jim Iyke has previously discussed how becoming a focused father to his son, affected his marriage and contributed to its eventual breakdown.

ReplyDeleteJim Iyke is one of the best Nigeria has produced, if we should tell ourselves the truth.i Iove watching his movies and hope he will come back fully to acting.
ReplyDeleteIf Stephenie and Omo T are looking for people to take Nigeria movies to international standards and audience, the likes of Jim Iyke, Chidi Mokeme, Nse Ikpe Etim are there to go to.
There are others as well but my opinion based on watching them for dacades is that they got what it takes to compete internationally.
Thank you Stella.
