Actress Halima Abubakar Reflects On Being Misunderstood And Says Only God Can Judge Her

Actress Halima Abubakar has opened up about years of being misunderstood.
In a new interview with Channels Television, she said her calm, private lifestyle was often twisted into labels like pride and arrogance and that the misconception made some people rejoice when she went through health and personal crises.

Halima explained that she rarely attends clubs or social events unless they are strictly work‑related.
She said that she chooses the premieres she attends and prefers staying home, yet people assumed she was “too proud.”
According to her, these wrong assumptions turned into mockery when she became ill, faced issues with her home in Abuja, and even had to solicit funds online.

She said:
“People thought I was arrogant or proud, but I am very quiet. So because of that, you are happy that I am sick? You are happy that I had a problem with my home? You are happy that I am on the internet soliciting for funds?
No matter what you think I have done, it does not warrant that heavy judgment. At the end of the day, the judgment belongs to God.”

She added that only those who truly know her understand her lifestyle and choices, and stressed that God alone has the final say over her life.

  1. You brought your private lifestyle on social media and expect people not to judge you. You even brought your affairs with a married pastor and expect to be hailed? Lack of accountability

    1. She really has and it lasted a while. It wasn’t a quick ride through hell, she got the scenic route with an extended stay. I hope the lessons learned make her wiser and get her closer to her creator.

  9. So happy to see her. The last video of her, she looked beaten down and at her lowest.

God be with you dear, it's a dawning of a new era. I'm happy you made it through. No one deserved to be judged like that. After all, don't we all make mistakes?
