It's no secret that men age like fine wine. As I get older, I’ve noticed the freshness, the handsomeness, and the glow on me. The mix of white and black in my neatly trimmed beard on my cheeks.
ReplyDeleteI stepped out this evening, caught my reflection in the mirror, and it gladdened my heart. I look so good.
Another relaxing Friday and weekend.

DeleteSince u know it will stir up things then why approve it?now dat you’ve passed the msg delete the inciting comment.
DeleteStella,
DeleteI don't understand. Can you or any other person please explain to me how the blog is that we can't express ourselves when we are being treated or marginalised in Nigeria? Should we be afraid to speak up for ourselves? The day I choose or become silent on things that matters, is the day I start dying slowly. I made this post to create awareness and not to stir any online trouble. The blog is widely read and possibly those in authority may come across it.

Twejay why are you disrespecting stella?is she ur mate?look at the tone u are using as if u are talking to ur househelp, after all she has done for u!respect her wishes to not post tribalistic and inciting comments or leave if u can’t behave well.go to X,facebook or instagram to drop such posts, this place is not ur playground.
DeleteAnon 20:59,
DeleteI think you're being mischievous with your comment. Where exactly did I disrespect Stella? You know I would never do that. You're trying to twist it to paint me as a bad person.
I even used "please" when asking my question. So what disrespect are you talking about? Do you think a disrespectful comment would have been approved?
When did asking a question politely or expressing a thought without insults become disrespect?
Please take this gaslighting off my mention it won't fly. I have no problem with Stella and will never do. Trying to jam heads won't work. She said what she said and I'm cool with that. So keep your comment to yourself.

Please can somebody tell me what was deleted.

DeleteA carpentery apprentice helped his oga make a coffin. When his oga stepped out , the apprentice now jokingly told his juniors that he wanted to see what it felt like to be a dead body lyinh inside a coffin. Those ones found the idea funny so they gave him the go ahead. He climed into the coffin and asked them to close the lid which they did while laughing and making jokes outside. After a few minutes they noticed he was no longer laughing or responding to their jokes. Thinking he was pretending, they opened the coffin only to discover he was de3d. Even as Muslims, his parents delayed his burial to be absolutely certain they weren't dreaming. In the end his parents kuku buried him in the very coffin in which he had died saying that he chose his own coffin so they would respect his wish. Village

DeleteI travelled within Nigeria by air this week and My return flight was turbulent due to bad weather. There were 2 guys in the row behind me gisting and giving commentaries throughout the journey on why the clouds gathered the way it did, how the pilot saw ahead and dodged it if there was a sudden descent, how the pilot was speeding too much it was quite funny hearing them. In all air travel sometimes gives an aha moment where you realize life is not in your hands and I’m grateful to God for journey mercies.
ReplyDeleteThank God 🙏🏿
DeleteGod is faithful . Glad you arrived safely 🥳
DeleteThank God for safety
DeleteThank God for the safe journey.
DeleteTGIF! Thank God it's Friday.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's hard to comment here
ReplyDeleteNo network here..
ReplyDeleteRain please hold on
I'm just having a good cool evening.
ReplyDeleteThere is a genuine happiness that comes from having peace of mind.
Just being happy without a cause regardless.
Thanking God for the fresh air and life.
Just waiting for the food to digest properly so I can sleep.
Vibing to cool songs while at it..
If you ever have good people in your circle don't take them for granted.
Mehn! they are rare souls on earth now.

True life story about giving:
ReplyDeleteIn 2005-2006 in Abuja, my friend was dating a guy who worked in a bank but he was a playboy. Everyone thought he was wealthy because he worked in a bank, live in a posh, well decorated flat and drove a very good car. Little did we know that shi shi Nwoke did not have.
One day he came to my friends’ house (they lived close to each other) and was crying like a baby that he needs some money urgently, that if he didn’t provide the money, his car will be taken away from him. He didn’t tell my friend who he was owing but he was crying profusely and singing in his local dialect while crying. My friend told me that she hasn’t seen a lot of men cry but this one was really touchy and was like what Igbo people call akwa ariri.
My friend didn’t have any money with her but because of the way the man was wailing and the fact that she is a very good hearted person, she went to wuse market and sold something very important to her and gave the man the money and he wrote a cheque of the same amount and gave my friend.
This my friend has been applying for visa to travel to obodo oyibo and has always been denied. Few weeks after this scenario, she got a message that her visa has been approved. That was how this lady travel abroad ooo and kpam kpam kpam met a very wealthy oyibo ooo. She has been married with children since 2008. It was like a dream!
Anytime I remember this story, I remind myself that God is real and he doesn’t joke with people who give with their heart.
Stella this is to appreciate all that you are doing for people. God sees inugo and HE will bless you more.
