According to official documents from the ministry dated July 15, 2026, Mary was found alone lying naked on the floor with blood stains around her nose and mouth.
Witnesses said she seemed full of life and healthy when she arrived in Uburu with her team the day before.
The Director of Public Prosecutions reviewed the case file and noted that the exact cause of death is not clear. The letter states that only a post-mortem examination can help find out what really happened and recommends that the police decide whether to go ahead with the autopsy, even if the family has other wishes.
Mary’s body has not been released yet for burial, even though her family had planned a funeral for July 17,2026 in Kaduna State. Minister Umahi has publicly called for a full investigation and autopsy. He says the matter was reported to the police right away and denies any attempt to hide details.

I pray that they get to the root of what really happened.
ReplyDeleteMay her soul rest in peace
This case is very messy
ReplyDeleteIn a sane clime, the minister would have been suspended and a full blown investigation into his antecedents would be opened.
The things I have been reading about him are not pleasant.
The Minister of Works and Housing has weighty responsibilities, yet he was busy seeking a public debate with H.E. Peter Obi.
ReplyDeleteIt’s even more troubling that this sad incident reportedly happened as far back as June 27. In a country that upholds the rule of law, questions should be asked and due process followed. If this involved an ordinary citizen, one can only imagine how quickly the case would have been pursued.
This is also not the first time serious allegations have been linked to Mr. Dave Umahi. During his time as governor, five engineers were declared missing in circumstances associated with him. To date, there has been no clear public report on what happened to them.
What makes this case more concerning is that the father of the lady who was found dead at the minister’s country home is reportedly asking for immediate burial without an autopsy or coroner’s inquest.
That raises a critical question. What is being concealed? Is this about money, influence, or power?

Sadly, nothing good will come out of this case
ReplyDeleteThe minister is still walking about freely, granting interviews about PO
Very important and that minister should first be fired
ReplyDeleteThis lady's parents are something else honestly. Your daughter died under a questionable circumstance and you're in a haste to bury her! Like how?
ReplyDeleteSeems like another otokoto moves is going on in Ebonyi state and everybody is scared of speaking out.
Only God knows what happened to her
ReplyDeleteAnd she's just 26!!
ReplyDeleteKai!
Hopefully, justice prevails. It's well
ReplyDeleteI hope she gets justice. How can she die and there's no explanation and the family wants her buried without knowing how and why she died.
