Gospel Minister Abbey Ojomu Shares Unusual Courtship Journey During Wedding Thanksgiving Service.

During her Wedding Thanksgiving Service, Abbey Ojomu, founder of Qavah Ministry and singer of “We Behold” and “Dry Bones,” revealed that she and her husband, Pastor OluSanmi Odujoko, went five months without calls, texts, or direct contact while dating, though she says that her husband occasionally tried to check on her through a mutual friend.


She explained that the break was guided by their spiritual fathers, who wanted their relationship to be rooted in conviction, not emotion. Abbey said the period brought clarity and strengthened their trust in God’s leading ....

The couple who later received final approval from Pastor Sarah in Jos before continuing their courtship. They tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Lagos and announced on July 15, 2026 that they had gotten married.

  3. I think that was necessary for both of them to gain clarity since they developed feelings for each other as a result of working in close proximity. 5 months was too long though.

    1. Yes. 5 months is not too long with rate of divorce happening even among ministers. There is a popular woman of God in western part whom her last son is a song minister, himself and wife might not be together again. I hardly see them tske photos together even on thier kids birthdays.

  4. Good for them. The high intense emotions that comes along when two ppl first meet can cloud judgment. It is good they had guidance and support from experienced folks. This is what having a good community looks like.
