Nigerian Army Declares Soldier Wanted for Allegedly Selling Military Uniforms to Terrorists

The Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) has declared one of its personnel, Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu, wanted for allegedly selling military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements...

According to the Army, Amutu, who was attached to the Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory, absconded from his unit on June 3, 2026 and efforts are underway to arrest him for investigation and disciplinary action.

The Army reiterated its zero‑tolerance policy for misconduct, warning that any personnel found aiding terrorists or criminals through the illegal sale of military items will face the full weight of military and civil laws.

The public has been urged to report any useful information that could lead to Amutu’s arrest to the nearest military formation or security agency.
