The legal notice, dated July 14, 2026, was issued by Paradise Law Firm on behalf of Sophia Momodu. According to the letter, Caroline posted a message on Snapchat that many people interpreted as referring to Sophia, sparking widespread online reactions that subjected her to ridicule, insults and emotional distress.
Sophia had contacted Carolina asking her to put out a post stating that her snap chat call out was not directed at her but Carolina ignored suffer to suffer the Online insults, trolling and dragging.
Sophia’s lawyers described her as a respected businesswoman and mother whose reputation was damaged by the viral post. They outlined three major demands:
• A clear retraction and public apology on Snapchat and in two national newspapers
• Payment of N10 billion as compensation
• A written commitment to stop making harmful statements
Caroline was given 48 hours to respond or face full legal proceedings. The letter also offered an option for both parties to settle the matter amicably.
Caroline posted a message many linked to Sophia, saying:
“I defended you on national TV but you’re sleeping with my man.”
