Lagos And Ogun States Declare Thursday Public Holiday For Isese Festival.

The governments of Lagos and Ogun states declared Thursday, August 20, 2026, as a work-free day to celebrate the annual Isese festival as a way to encourage diverse spiritual practices across both states.


Isese Day is a day that traditional worshippers perform annual rites and honour ancestors to promote and preserve indigenous Yoruba tradition, culture, and values.
