NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

That year, I auditioned for Project Fame in Ibadan because I was trying to pursue a career in music. I had travelled all the way from my state just to audition, and I was fortunate enough to be auditioned by a popular Nigerian folk singer.

Even though I was excited to meet her, I was honestly surprised by the way she treated me. She didn't even let me finish my song. She offered no encouragement and didn't tell me what I could do better to improve my craft.
I found her approach very discouraging, and I left the audition feeling really bad. My respect for her also dropped.
You know how you can admire a celebrity from afar? You see them, listen to their music, follow their work, and build a certain image of them in your head. Then you finally meet them, and their behaviour doesn't quite match the person you imagined. That was exactly how I felt.
For years, I stopped listening to her music. Whenever I saw her videos online, I would simply scroll past. That one experience completely changed the way I saw her.
Then one day, I stumbled upon her live video on Facebook and decided to watch.
During the live, she talked about how she was raised by her grandmother and how that upbringing taught her to be disciplined, strict and thorough. She explained that she doesn't tolerate mediocrity and that she expects excellence from herself and from the people around her.
It dawned on me that perhaps she wasn't intentionally trying to be mean or discouraging. She was simply a very difficult person to please, and her upbringing had shaped her into someone who was extremely particular about excellence.

And that got me thinking... How much of who we become as adults is a reflection of how we were raised?
Sometimes, the things we learn in childhood become part of our personality, and even the way we treat other people.
She is undoubtedly very talented, but from that experience, she came across to me as quite rigid. So when she later announced that her marriage had ended, I wasn't entirely surprised when she mentioned that she struggled with patience.
And if there's one thing I've come to understand about marriage, it's that you must have patience.
I also concluded that we shouldn't judge people based on one encounter Sometimes, there is a whole story behind a person's behaviour that we know absolutely nothing about.

Sometimes once is enough to judge how a person is...........Your first encounter with me is exactly how i am and after that i intentionally try to be a nice person....LOL!

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

I am currently going through the “threenager” phase with my princess. She went from being quiet and calm to absolutely feral in just three months. Now she chases her brothers around the house, fights with them, and plays with equal gusto.
I had previously pegged her as a quiet child, but I was wrong. Even when she is alone, she is always singing at the top of her voice, laughing, dancing, and being silly.
She climbs everything climbable and jumps off any raised surface. When she notices that I am in the backyard, she locks the door and won’t stop laughing in amusement despite my pleas and speeches about the dangers of locking mummy out of the house.
She is making demands and is strongly opinionated. She teases her brothers, her dad, and her aunts. She has a big temper and doesn’t back down when she has issues with her brothers. It’s nice watching her shift personalities and become more aware of herself. I know she will still go through more changes, but I find this new version of her fascinating.

I hear motherng little ladies is very diffuclt.....How una dey manage am?

  12. Sometimes, we judge by the moment we get hurt, without knowing other people story carried from childhoods, wounds, fears, and lessons we may not know.
So, before we judge someone by just one encounter, we should remember we met a moment of someone life, not their whole story.
Lets leave room for grace. We all have chapters others have never read.
Let's be gentle with people. You never know what they have survived.

    1. That's the best way to eat bitter leaf in other soups apart from bitter leaf soup.. I don't wash my bitter leaf. I have it in my compound so I just pluck a few leaves, wash and slice into my soup. I add it like that to egusi, ogbono, edikaikong, groundnut soup, etc.

Most don't really wash the bitter leaf. What you would do next time is to add a liitle salt and wash it yourself or you simply par boil it for some minutes and wash it gently once.

  17. It’s a painful irony: you offer a hand, and someone turns it into a weapon against your character. Lately i've come to understand some of my yoruba people, that when you help someone sincerely, you expose your generosity—but also your vulnerability.

Imaging a scenario, that comes with insult not from the person you helped, but from a suspicious third party who projects his own fears onto the person, i assisted whole hearted. He advice my guy that my success is dubious, that my money can’t be clean because times are hard, and still am doing well....that’s suspicious.

This turns my kindness into a transaction, implying i must be hiding something to be so generous. The insult lies in the implication that my integrity is for sale, and that my help is not a gift but a bribe or a cover-up.

My deeper lesson: helping someone can inadvertently reveal the envy, insecurity, or judgment of onlookers. Their insult is a reflection of their own limited worldview—not a verdict on ones character. Your best response is not to defend yourself, but to quietly withdraw your assistance from that circle, because your generosity deserves gratitude, not suspicion. Protecting ones peace is not arrogance; it’s self-respect.
    Good day ppl...❤️
