A heated argument reportedly broke out between the two wives, and Ramatu cried out for help. Their husband, Jibrin said Khadijat warned others not to come closer, claiming the area was unsafe. By the time relatives reached the spot, Ramatu was already dead from multiple stab wounds, and Khadijat had fled.
Jibrin revealed that the women had quarrelled weeks earlier, but the family believed the matter had been resolved. A presenter from Ankpa Radio‑Television later confirmed Khadijat’s arrest in a video shared on August 23, 2026.
She is now in police custody as investigations continue.

ReplyDeleteWhy don’t polygamous men abide by the rules. The wives should have their own houses well apart, in different communities provided by the husband. Creating tenements for ppl with different personalities to come together because of you, expecting them to live in tranquility is batshyt crazy. The government needs to enforce these rules. Poor men who cannot afford to set up residences for their wives have no business with polygamy.
