He also noted early stage and television credits dating back even further, famously highlighting his 1962 appearance in The Merchant of Venice at age 15.
In his words:
“I started acting before Nollywood was created in 1992. By The time I did Merchant of Venice in 1962, I was 15 years, there was nothing like film, it was all stage, except you had Shakespeare on your head, you don't qualify to be in stage, call any of them that you know that can handle Shakespeare let them challenge me, number 2, let me hear them speak, who taught them?

I really enjoyed his interview with that nothing boy that called himself BaeU Barbie on his show: Pa Pete was right and I love the fact that he tutored that boy about certain things especially our culture (Igbo culture in particular) and I now understand his take on some certain statements he made which was misconstrued by many people.

DeleteWhy these people constantly lie, I don’t know. There is no record of him being in any merchant of Venice when he was 15 years old. Where is the proof, show the proof if it’s true, in this day and age it’s not just by mouth, show the proof because people have already done the research and there is no proof of it.
ReplyDeleteYou can take credit for Things fall apart in 1985 but you cannot take credit for the Nigerian that started creating films in 1979 or for the first indigenous language film shot in Nigeria in Igbo language called Amadi in 1982.
They have crucified him online based on his lies and they have shown the proof. He thinks he can lie and make claims and people will not go and verify what he is saying. It just seems this family just keeps disgracing themselves everywhere
His son Yul took after him in everything including acting well, infidelity and boasting, just that his own infidelity was all over the media
