Igboekweze, from Okija, was arrested with two others by the Agunechemba Security Outfit and charged in April 2025 under the Anambra Homeland Security Law, which bans ritual money claims and charms for criminals.
He claimed he was a registered herbalist and said his viral videos were recorded before the law took effect. The court convicted him on two charges and discharged him on one.
Before sentencing, he begged for mercy, saying he had never seen his newborn triplets. His wife and half‑brother also pleaded for leniency.
That 12 years is too small.

ReplyDeleteBut his wife cried out and said they did not find any human part in his house, why only him amongst all the native doctors in Anambra? If the government wants to send all the native doctors to jail, that would have been understandable but only this man 12yrs after spending 2yrs already ha, looks truly like witch hunting
