Academic qualifications? It matters like mad.

I don't understand the kind of qualifications here but if it's on academics, No, it doesn't. Even though education is good, it doesn't guarantee a good and lasting marriage.

What matters most is marrying a good partner whether a man or a woman. Qualifications are just paper and knowledge. A kind and understanding partner matters most even without the qualifications. And what happens after those paper qualifications, when there’s no job to use them?

It will matter if she wants to have certain kinds of conversations and relate in certain social circles. It doesn't really matter otherwise if sheer wealth and comfort is all she desires. Portable has no qualifications and even those with qualifications are chasing him.
