The ruling, delivered on Thursday, states that the White House cannot bar accredited journalists from press access without clear, lawful justification.
The judge described the ban as a violation of First Amendment protections and directed the administration to immediately reinstate the outlets’ press credentials.
President Trump accused the organisations of “fake news” and revoked their access, to the white house.
With the court’s order, CNN, MS Now, and Politico are expected to resume coverage from the White House as legal proceedings continue.
