  7. Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare announced that commencement of local production of next-generation dual-active ingredient insecticide-treated mosquito nets. According to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure Nigerians have access to affordable, high-quality malaria prevention tools while building the country’s capacity to produce critical health commodities. Local production means faster distribution during outbreaks, better supply chains, and more control over quality. For millions of households across Nigeria, it could mean better protection and fewer malaria cases.

    This is the first time these advanced nets will be manufactured right here in the country.

  12. Actress and content creator Kemi Ikuseedun, also known as Mummy Wa, recently stated in the Unserious Podcast, that many women in Nigeria’s entertainment industry are involved in prostitution.

    She made the claim in a video shared online, where she talked about the pressures and challenges women face in the industry.

    In her words;
    "A lot of women in the entertainment industry are prostitutes"

    While addressing Reality tv star Phyna,who was also a co-host at the show, she questioned her source of income, to which Phyna sarcastically replied that she was a "thief":

    "Phyna, what gives you money, cause I'm a content creator as well, I know how much we're making
    Like if you go viral, the money will just come like that...it's a lie", she said.

    Her statement has caused reactions on social media. Some people said her claim was too broad, while others connected it to issues such as sexual exploitation, relationships for money, and the pressure to get opportunities in entertainment.
