Crisis reporter Bakatsine disclosed the incident on X, saying the clerics were taken after joining over two thousand scholars who gathered to pray for peace, unity and the success of President Bola Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Those reportedly abducted include Imam Yahuza, Magawata Abdullahi, Malam Shehu Dakko, Imam Bala Fagon and Na’ibi Tasi’u.
Bakatsine described the incident as disturbing and said it highlights the worsening insecurity in Zamfara, where kidnappings and bandit attacks remain rampant.
