Nollywood actress Regina Daniels turned 25 on Saturday October 10, 2026 and she used the day to explain what she has been battling behind the scenes.
In a video shared on Instagram, Regina was seated in a wheelchair. She greeted fans, called it her silver jubilee, and said she is praying for total calm in this new phase.
She immediately addressed the wheelchair, noting that she knew many people would be shocked.
Regina revealed that for months she has been unable to move around freely and that what started as a minor issue gradually worsened and that after hosting her big Children’s Day carnival, things took a sharp turn and since then, she said, it has been one medical test after another, joking that she began calling herself a lab rat.
She described the pain as excruciating. Some days she could walk normally, other days she could not move at all. She said that she cried often and kept praying for healing, saying God alone has the final say.
She said that as someone who was always energetic and independent, suddenly needing help for even the smallest steps was extremely difficult.
The good news, according to her, is that there have been major improvements in her recovery and she says that progress gave her the strength to sit in front of the camera and speak. She thanked God for it.
Regina also shared that she decided to live closer to the medical facilities she needs and closer to her children. She said that she first rented a place, then felt a strong urge to own it and that from the moment she paid for the house, everything inside came as gifts.
She did not reveal a specific diagnosis or treatment and her message was simply to explain her absence and assure her fans that she is getting better.
Fellow actors and celebrities have flooded her page to comment, wishing her happy birthday and get well soon messages…..

But Omoh! Sometimes ehn, a story can have all the proof in the world, everything looks completely real, the pieces of evidence fit together like blocks, the footprints lead to a clear conclusion and the facts are line up and highly convincing....But the deep truth is this: even when a situation looks completely certain and the proof seems to be right in front of our eyes, it can still be entirely false.
Facts are like puzzle pieces. You can connect five pieces perfectly and think you see the whole picture, but you might be missing the other ninety five pieces that completely change what the image is.
So Regina, you were fighting a silent battle behind closed doors??? Na wa o. This life!
