It is not a big deal.My husband wash plate join.
ReplyDeleteBefore nko.
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter!
ReplyDeleteEach marriage has its settings!
It's not a big deal, but it's not gonna be an everyday something!
No, he should leave it there for the maid
ReplyDeleteIt all depends. Yes, if he's the one that served himself, and no, if the wife was the one that served him.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if he chooses to do it when served by the wife, I don't see anything wrong with it, but I wouldn't advise that. It's not ethical.

Absolutely! There is nothing wrong with that. His wife can do it for him, and he can do it himself.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is when he begins to see it as his right and her responsibility. That is where I draw the line.
In many western countries, this question will sound really confusing? Why wont a husband carry his plate to the kitchen. Unless he has a disability with mobility issues.
ReplyDeleteAsin . I’m shook. Should a husband wipe his back side after the number 2?. Should a husband feed himself?. Etc etc
DeleteIt is deeply concerning that people in this day and age still debate whether a man should clear his own plate after eating. Marriage is a beautiful, loving partnership built on mutual respect, not a master and servant arrangement where the wife functions as a maid, Abeg. Before marriage, most men took care of themselves. Getting married should mean you have gained a life partner to build a future with, not someone to pick up your dirty dishes.
ReplyDeleteA home belongs to both partners, so maintaining it should be a team effort. Carrying a plate, cleaning the table, or even washing the dishes does not reduce a man's value, nor does it strip him of his authority as the head of the home. By picking up his own plate, a husband models good behavior for the rest of the family and shows his wife that he values her time and energy just as much as his own.
When a wife cooks a meal, she spends her time and energy to take care of the family. If the husband carries his own plate, clears the table, or helps with the dishes, it shows that he respects her hard work. It is not about whose job it is, it is about kindness and appreciation.
Taking a few seconds to walk a plate to the sink is a simple way to say thank you. It tells the wife, I see what you did, and I am happy to help. SIMPLE
Yes, yes and yes
ReplyDeleteMind does most times
Gifty
Yes of course
ReplyDeleteWhy not 😳😁
Why shouldn't he? My dad carries both his plate and my mum's to the kitchen if he finishes eating and leaves the dinner table first. Yet no press conference and no family meetings. It's just a plate, not a bag of cement. So, what's all the fuss about?!!!
ReplyDeleteA home is a shared space not a hotel. Come on guys! Just come one!!
I don't see anything wrong with it
