Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative

Hmmmmm….

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
ADVICE NEEDED

There's this guy that's been on my case, he's quite rich and is generous. Has been talking marriage but I'm not gonna even date him and I told him this, but he still doesn't mind being friends(we've never been intimate).

Here's my question, he's been asking me to travel with him to another State to rest as I've been complaining of being stressed lately but I don't know if it's right to because he had mentioned the lady his family introduced to him stays in same State and even though it's a business trip for him, he'll still see her.

I have no problems with this, I just wanna know if it's right to go on a trip with him knowing he'll be seeing the person he'll soon get married to on same trip. Does that translate to cheating on her with me(even though we aren't dating and I'm certain there'll be no intimacy) or am I overthinking this? Please approve my post.

LOL.... this is not a post, it is a comment.
I think he just wants to travel with you to see if you will change your mind, there is no lady anywhere abeg…..
If you are sure in your mind that you don't wanna marry him you better cut off before you ending giving him free kpekus oh..
You are collecting gifts and money and still saying no....He is generous? Why don't you call him father Christmas?
Continue swallowing fish with strong bone oh but no complain of sore throat later

  2. If you know you don't want anything to do with him, you had better not go with him. Better to be mindful of where you follow him to unless you truly know him and knows what he is capable of doing

  3. I don't understand this post. You have nothing to do with him yet you are contemplating travelling with him to rest????? as per what now??? a friend, acquaintance. Rest where? In a hotel, his house? I support Stella. I think you are just deceiving yourself. The next chronicle will be that you were used and dumped , you don't know how it happened, you are pregnant... what should you do.

  4. So, you think you'll go on that trip with him and there won't be intimacy. Na so your sense reach?
You want, you don't want. Why giving him mixed signals?
If he forces himself on you, you'll say he took advantage of you.
    Madam, stay in your house!!
    Dey come ask yeye question.

  5. Some of you women are truly funny. He's been talking about marriage and you're not ever going to date him, let alone marry him. So what's the point are you traveling with him? Or why are you accepting gifts from him? You see why I won't stop saying that most of you women know exactly what you're doing. Tomorrow you will boldly remind him that you didn't force him to spend on you, blah blah blah.

Well, I wouldn't blame you but the young man who lacks sense. When a woman turns you down or repeatedly shows she doesn't like you, if you force yourself to let her string you along, you'll surely pay for your foolishness. You'll learn the hard way. As a man, you don't force a woman to love you or accept your proposal if your intentions and priorities are right. There are women who will genuinely love and want you.

This is how some women's transition into prostitution starts, not in a day, but as a gradual process. At their prime, you see them getting so much attention from men, but they wouldn't want to settle down. Just like one told me, she wants to enjoy the attention of men very well before settling down, asking me why should one man just carry her inside the house like that.

Funny thing is, with this plethora of options, an entitlement mentality begins to set in for women like this. They believe there's always a willing man out there to indulge them. When a woman now equates dating to a transactional relationship, that's how full-blown prostitution starts. To these women, they see themselves as classy, but the truth remains they are often seen as satisfying commodities to the men who patronize them. In fact, cheap, and no one will want to keep such a person as a wife, but to pass around.

Eventually, when she's over 40, she starts insulting men and saying all sorts. That's the irony of life for so many of them today.

    1. Bia TEEJAY, easy with your argument in this post. I like your personality on this blog and how you speak your mind, and I read your column whenever it is posted. I’m saying this just so you understand that I’m not hating on you. But sometimes, please take a breather and take it easy.

How do you go from questioning a woman's choices to making sweeping claims about women's character, prostitution and their worth as wives? That is an unfair leap, ko right nau. You made some good points; why soil it with generalisation? Do better, please.

A woman can make a questionable decision without having her entire character condemned. Not that men are any better, either. Biko, we have flawed characters on both sides, so let's not judge an entire gender by the actions of a few individuals.

  6. You want to go, you know that deep down. You are just looking for who will ginger you, and it is not me.

  7. My advice is, don't go. Not because you would necessarily be cheating with him, but because this man has expressed interest in marrying you, and you don't know whether he has genuinely let go of those feelings. Put yourself in the other woman's shoes: would you be comfortable knowing your prospective husband was travelling with a woman he had previously pursued for marriage? If you wouldn't want to be in her position, don't put yourself in it. Protect your peace and avoid unnecessary drama.

  9. If you want to go, just go and enjoy your self.No need of bringing it here.

  10. Deep down, you know his intentions. If you are 💯 convinced that the friendship is platonic from his end, ask him to fund the trip and travel alone. Otherwise leave him alone before his woman catch you.

  11. In your heart you know the right thing to do, but the cares of this life's goods and the deceitful of his gifts has blinded you to the extent that you brought this up to seek validation to your lust that it is OK to keep riding with a man who is seriously looking for a life partner knowing in your heart that you don't love him.
    You reap what you sow.

  12. I am honestly surprised that you are even asking this question. Why are you comfortable eating the money of a man who isn’t yours? If you go on this trip to relax, who is paying for it? Is it coming out of your own pocket? Since you both are just friends when you go on trips do your female friends pay for you?

Let’s be real and stop acting oblivious. You are a grown woman, and you know exactly what is happening here. This man is still hopeful and is intently looking for ways to cajole you into being his woman. When a man asks us out, gets turned down, and then says let’s just be friends,we as women know exactly what that means.

So why are you letting him hover around you under the guise of a fake friendship? What are you keeping him around for?
You will keep taking advantage of his so called generosity that has an underlying motive by the way, while he starts thinking he stands a chance with you. While you will continue to act clueless like you don't have an idea of what's going on.

A man who wants to marry you, is generous, despite you turning him down and continues to sponsor you does not view you as a platonic buddy. He is playing the long game. He is keeping you close, building obligation, and keeping his foot in your door.
Yet you are here acting all innocent talking about you have told him you won't date him but your actions are saying otherwise. If you don't want him just cut him loose!!!

Why are you even complaining to a man you claim you don't want about being stressed? That is an indirect signal that you want to be pampered. He is not your boyfriend. If you want a real platonic friendship with a man, you don't accept luxury travel, you don't spend his money and you don't interact with him in ways you would with your own man.

  13. Interesting.

Ask your toaster for the other lady's phone number. Call her and ask for permission to escort her soon to be husband to visit her state.

If the comment above does not make sense, na your chronicle cause am

  14. Why are some of us like this? Honestly, sometimes we end up facing the consequences of our own indifference, whether consciously or unconsciously, even when we have a thousand excuses to justify our foolishness.

Whether you travel with him or not is none of my concern, nor is whether it leads to cheating. What bothers me is the contradiction between the position you claim to hold and what your desire for material benefits is indulging.

God forbid that tomorrow's news reads, “Woman's body found in Abuja hotel room.” And even if it doesn't come to that, what if he forces himself on you or drugs you? These are real risks worth considering.

You have made it clear that you do not want a relationship with this man, yet you accept his generosity and are considering going on holiday with him. There is nothing wrong with friendship between a man and a woman, and accepting gifts does not mean a woman owes a man romance or intimacy.

However, when someone has made their romantic intentions clear, both parties need to be honest about the expectations surrounding that friendship. And if you know you have no romantic interest in him, you need to be particularly careful about the boundaries you maintain. This is not a risk to take lightly, especially with someone who wants more than friendship. Not in 2026, please.

So, Bia, young lady, if you genuinely have no romantic interest in this man, do the needful. Not because you owe him anything for his generosity, but because accepting these benefits while considering such a trip could put you in a compromising and potentially dangerous situation.

It is difficult to understand how some of us can accept benefits from people whose intentions we know we cannot reciprocate without giving enough thought to the possible consequences. Yes, this man is responsible for managing his own expectations, but you are equally responsible for maintaining boundaries that reflect your stated intentions.

When those lines become blurred, it is sometimes the people who love us most who end up getting hurt.

  16. My fear about this is not even the intimacy part, with all that has been happening lately in Nigeria, you as a lady is planning to travel with a man who is not known to your family members to a place you don’t know so well.
What is the rest he wants to offer you that you can’t afford yourself?!
Read the post about the police officer who killed his ex-girlfriend posted today maybe you will pick something from there, some people don’t handle rejection nicely.
