Court Jails Woman 3 Years For Stealing 4‑Month‑Old Baby
A Magistrate Court in Enugu has sentenced 23‑year‑old Rejoice Odoh to three years in prison for stealing a four‑month‑old baby at Oye‑Emene Market on October 20, 2026.
Police said she posed as a customer, carried the baby, and disappeared, later presenting him to relatives in Nkanu East as her own but detectives tracked her down and recovered the child on October 24., 2026.
She pleaded guilty to conspiracy and child stealing and the court gave her three years on each count, to run concurrently.

The only reason a 23 years old will steal a child is to sell it. They should press her till she names her accomplices.
ReplyDeleteFor the pains and destruction she planned against the innocent child and family just to be call a mum 4 years is too small. I understand the pain of TTC but this is wrong, let our joy and fulfillment be found in the Lord in our waiting and not please families and society.
