Enugu State Govt Approves ₦32bn To Clear 24‑Year Gratuity Arrears

The Enugu State Government has approved the payment of ₦32 billion in long‑outstanding gratuity arrears owed to retired civil servants dating back to 2000.


According to the state, an initial ₦10 billion will be released next week, followed by monthly payments of ₦10 billion until December 2026 to clear all verified liabilities.
The move is aimed to finally settling the decades‑long backlog and providing relief to retirees who have waited years for their entitlements.
